AHA Young Leadership Program
- The focus is to engage a new generation of AHA Leadership that will actively be equipped to serve on the AHA Board, Committees, Commissions as well as serve through their local communities.
- Applicants will be required to pick a path in which they are interested in and program will be tailored in their desired direction
- For Example; AHA Governance, Show management, becoming a judge or steward, or becoming a leader in a grassroots effort in their local community.
- Grants will be available for 5 applicants
- Grants of $3000 available to each applicant
- $15,000 total requested from the Arabian Horse Foundation
- Grant will be available to reimburse travel, accommodation and event registration expenses as well as an AHA three year membership
- Applicants are to be from the ages 19-35
- Applicants will be required to attend three AHA events to include:
- Two consecutive AHA conventions
- One other AHA event of applicant’s choice (as agreed upon with the program administrator)
- Could include events such as AHA Board Meetings, National Events, Judges Seminars, etc.
- Applicant will be required to attend a bimonthly phone call with a chosen mentor in the industry or program administrator
- A mentor for each applicant will be chosen based on their desired path of choice as mentioned in item 1.
- Applications for program must be received by September 1
- Applications will be reviewed by the Arabian Horse Foundation via conference call and 5 applicants will be selected
- Program will be administered and promoted through the AHA Office in National Events
