Located in Nokesville, Virginia. Meet Lucky, a handsome 17 year old chestnut gelding standing 15.3hh. Lucky successfully competed in several endurance races (35 m) when he was younger with his previous owner. He placed 1st and 2nd. He has a big personality and is very sweet, but needs at least an intermediate rider. He can be a little forward at times and can be a little pushy. He would be a fun project for someone getting into endurance racing. He is also awesome on the trail. Not spooky, walks through water, across wood bridges, etc. He has a very nice smooth trot and canter. I had planned to try endurance and was training him for obstacle competitions; however, life and health issues got in the way. He has mainly been a pasture ornament for past year and will need a tune up. I have done the Clinton Anderson fundamentals with him, but it has been maybe 5 years. He is currently barefoot and does great in Easyboot Gloves. He is an easy keeper and wears a grazing muzzle when turned out. He currently ranks in the middle of a mixed herd of mares and geldings. Price is negotiable to the right person. References required.
