The W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center was established in 1925 by the cereal magnate Will Keith Kellogg of Battle Creek, Michigan. In his quest to fulfill a childhood dream, W.K. Kellogg sought out the finest Arabian bloodlines of the day to begin a breeding program at his winter home in Pomona, California. He acquired horses from within the United States and abroad, importing several horses from Lady Wentworths famed Crabbet Arabian Stud in England. True to W.K. Kelloggs wishes, the horses are still presented in the Sunday Shows, at 2:00 pm on the first Sunday of every month, October-May. A tradition started by W.K. Kellogg in 1926, the Sunday Show features Cal Poly Pomona students riding Arabians in different disciplines from Native Costume to Ladies Side Saddle. Additionally, the trick horse act is always a crowd favorite. Training and handling are accomplished entirely by the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Centers students and staff, and the show program is designed to demonstrate the versatility and fine qualities of the Arabian breed.

The bloodlines currently in our barn are Muscat, Aladdin, Regal Amber, Fadjur, DaVinci, Desperado V, Padrons Psyche, Litigator, and more. We welcome visitors by appointment and try to avoid weather extremes. During good weather, we have an open barn by reservation. This is generally held between 5 pm and 7 pm and includes refreshments. Each person is issued a guide to answer specific questions about the breed and about each horse. According to the groups interest a demonstration might be included.

In October 2018, he moved his training operation to Circle Lazy K Ranch, widening our services into western performance disciplines that include reined cowhorse, cutting, and reining - for all breeds. As the patriarch of the herd, he takes pride in being an ambassador for the breed and showcasing his beauty and charm to all who visit. His love, Nutmeg, affectionately known as Pony Supreme, is a retired rescue pony with a heart as big as her name. We believe she was foaled somewhere around 1997, barn name: Meg. Diagnosed with Cushings, she now enjoys her role as a pasture mate and lawn ornament among the Arabians. Despite her retirement, she holds a special place in the herd as the Arabian by Proxy. Our Matriarch of the herd is WD Qadar Bint Fahiim (JRW Bikr Fahiim x Brenna Bint Bahim), barn name: Queenie. Foaled 18 April 2007, this black Egyptian Heritage Arabian mare was originally from Texas and spent most of her life spent in Arizona, Queenie has found her home in Virginia. With professional training in Western and English Pleasure, she serves as the foundational broodmare for our Egyptian Heritage Arabians, bringing both skill and grace to the herd. Our newest member of the herd is ABH Khurrem Al Abhar (Luxe RCA x Desperados Hala), barn name: Roxy. Foaled 25 June 2019, this chestnut Straight Egyptian Arabian mare is a Virginia native. Roxy is currently in training for a future in endurance trials. As the newest member of the herd, she represents the future of our Straight Egyptian Arabians and is on her way to making a significant impact in both performance and breeding.

We are located in Southeast Saskatchewan Canada. We have been in the Arabian horse business for 25 years. Our main focus is sport horse and working western. We compete with our Arabian horses on the open all breed show circuit, discipline specific show circuits, and the breed circuit from class A the way to Nationals. We breed purebred and part bred Arabian horses. Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator offers life skills and team building equine session and Saskatchewan Provincial general performance Judge. We have summer kids camps, a ladies campout wellness retreat, pony palz program for preK and Kindergarten kids, Equine Canada Learn To Ride program for all ages.
