Purebred Registration

Overview

Customer Service - Our Registration Services department provides the highest level of service in the industry - with one or two day turn-around in most cases. In addition, the Association takes pride in maintaining the most accurate and reliable records in the industry.

Purebred Certificate of Registration - The term "Purebred Arabian Horse" which appears on every Purebred Arabian Certificate of Registration issued by the Arabian Horse Association, has more than a casual significance. A Certificate of Registration issued by the Association is the only evidence that the horse in question is a purebred Arabian horse and universally accepted by the horse community. The rules for registrations, simply put, require a horse to be parentage verified based on blood-typing or DNA-typing as verified by its pedigree. The sire and dam must be registered with the Association (or in the case of an imported horse, with a foreign registry approved by the Association). Only the offspring of registered purebred Arabians are eligible for purebred registration with the Association.

The Association's Certificate of Registration is the only official document verifying that the horse is a purebred Arabian horse. This certificate is the Association's product and it means a great deal to Arabian horse owners because it proves that their Arabian is a descendant of a historic breed that goes back thousands of years to its desert homeland in the Middle East.
