Registration Commission to Hit the Road Again in 2004
Following warm receptions from breeders in Orange, Virginia, and Pomona, California, in 2003, Registration Commission Chair Willis Foley announced the Commission's travel plans for 2004.
Tentative meeting locations and dates for 2004 include the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in early April; Lexington, Kentucky, during the Egyptian Event in early June; Denver, Colorado, on August 4-6 and the Minneapolis, Minnesota area in September.
Willis stated, "At each meeting, the Registration Commission will combine formal meetings with functions at which breeders in each area will be invited to attend. The Commission will spend time keeping breeders up to date with the plans and progress of AHA, as well as encouraging comments, concerns and suggestions from the breeders."
"The Registration Commission impacts in a variety of ways every purebred and Half-Arabian horse bred and foaled. We want to meet every Arabian breeder that cares enough to attend our regional meetings in order to provide even better registration services."
Willis continued, "Although it may seem contradictory, meetings on the road have proven to be less costly than meetings at the AHA Aurora, Colorado, offices. It is also important that we meet face to face with Arabian horse breeders in each area to make sure we understand their issues, concerns and suggestions."
