Half-Arabian & Anglo-Arabian Registration

Half-Arabian horse

  • The Association maintains and administers the Half-Arabian Horse Registry

  • To be eligible for registration, a Half-Arabian must have one registered Arabian parent. The other parent may be a: purebred of another breed, a grade horse or a Half-Arabian. The exception is an Arabian-Thoroughbred, which is registered as an Anglo-Arabian

  • Arabian characteristics passed onto Half-Arabian offspring are beauty, refinement, stamina, agility, intelligence and trainability

  • The Association offers double registration discounts to Half-Arabians that are already registered with a color breed registry

  • Half-Arabians are popular with color breeds such as Pinto and Buckskin, and excel in a competitive trail, endurance, English and western disciplines, cutting, reining, hunter/jumper, driving, dressage and equitation

  • Half-Arabians and Anglo Arabians compete in the same classes at AHA-approved events, and are eligible for awards through the Association

  • Registered horses are more marketable for resale and have more options to show, win prize money and participate in awards and recognition programs through AHA

Anglo-Arabian horse

  • The Association maintains and administers the Anglo-Arabian Horse Registry

  • An Anglo-Arabian may be Arabian to Thoroughbred, Anglo-Arabian to Arabian, Anglo-Arabian to Thoroughbred, and Anglo-Arabian to Anglo-Arabian, as long as there is no more than 75 percent nor less then 25 percent Arabian blood in the offspring

  • Anglo-Arabians make great sport horses because they are athletic and willing, and possess courage, speed, stamina, sound legs and feet

  • Half-Arabians and Anglo Arabians compete in the same classes at AHA-approved events, and are eligible for awards through the Association

  • Registered horses are more marketable for resale and have more options to show, win prize money and participate in awards and recognition programs through AHA
