CLUB EXCELLENCE AWARDThe Club Excellence Award program recognizes clubs for their ability to create and provide activities, communication, grassroots promotions and programs that benefit their members, as well as the breed. Clubs can enter any of the following four categories: breed promotion, club projects, communications, and membership recruitment and retention. Each category winner receives a cash prize of $500.00 and is eligible to be named the AHA Club of the Year and receive an additional $500.00 cash prize. This year 73 entries were submitted from 20 clubs in 13 regions. Judging was difficult as all entries were well planned and well received. The category winners are:
Breed Promotion: Minnesota Half-Arabian Horse Association
Club Projects: Wyoming Arabian Horse Association Communications: Arabian Cutting Horse Association Membership Recruitment and Retention: West Michigan Arabian Horse Association The AHA 2005 Club of the Year honor goes to Wyoming Arabian Horse Association.
