Sign Up for Incentive Riding Programs
If you haven't enrolled in Incentive Riding Programs yet, what are you
waiting for? It's an easy way to receive recognition for doing what you love
and it allows you one-stop shopping all online. If you ride more than one
horse, enroll them all! Arabians, Half-Arabians and Anglo-Arabians are all
accepted into the program. The three programs available are the Open Event
Incentive program (logs points in local/open competitions); the Competitive
Distance Program (logs miles ridden in distance ride competitions); and the
Frequent Rider Program (logs miles ridden or driven in leisure,
non-competitive activity). Just click

Officer Nomination Form Online
The AHA Nominating Committee has completed an Officer Nomination Form and
encourages any member seriously interested in serving the organization in
that capacity to read the letter from the Nominating Committee and review the
form by: clicking
here. Positions open to nominations are: President, Vice-President,
Secretary and Treasurer.
Board of Director Minutes A Click Away
To view the February 2004 minutes go to: www.ArabianHorses.org, and click on
"About AHA" at the extreme top right. Find the Board of Directors
button on the left navigation bar and all the options available: Board of
Directors, Board Motions, Board Minutes and the Board Vote Tally.
The AHA Board has granted AHA affiliate clubs a limited,
non-commercial license to use the AHA Affiliate Club Logo in or on
promotional advertisements, banners, signs, stationery and other print media
to signify affiliation with AHA and to promote AHA and the local club. Use of
the design must follow corporate graphic guidelines and cannot be used for
commercial or endorsement purposes such as sales, merchandise, seminars,
sponsorships or other activities without written permission from AHA. To
obtain the official Affiliate Club logo, contact Steve Josephs by clicking here.
Correct Contact Info
When you're trying to contact AHA, the correct
e-mail address is info@ArabianHorses.org
or, if you're trying to contact a staff member directly, type in
"firstname.lastname@ArabianHorses.org." Old addresses from either organization
will not work anymore. Also, be sure to update your web links to the AHA
website with the correct address, www.ArabianHorses.org

your site as a link back to the AHA site, just click here and
follow the instructions.
2004 USN Performance Futurities
Performance Futurities for Arabian and Half-Arabian Hunter
Pleasure, English Pleasure, Western Pleasure and Reining only will
occur at the 2004 U.S. Nationals. There will be NO AAOTR Maturity classes
held in 2004. The nomination fee of $600 per class, plus a $15 processing
fee, may be paid in full postmarked prior to June 1. If the nomination fee is
going to be paid monthly, the first payment is due June 1 to avoid any late
fees.
Wanted! Junior Journalists for Youth Nationals
If you have the writing bug, are under 18, going to Youth
Nationals and want to write about the show, enter the Youth Nationals
Journalism Contest. Blaze magazine is interested in a story for their
magazine "for and by kids" and we're looking for the "write

Growing the Industry: Recipe for Success
The following is a testimonial from a person whose family was
won over by Arabian horses thanks to a Discovery Farm experience with
friendly owners.
"I just wanted to say what a great program the Discovery Farms is. I
accidentally stumbled on a Discovery Farm in Johnstown, Ohio several years
ago when I was riding along a bike path. My family and I stopped to see the
horses and a man came down from the barn and invited us to get a closer look!
He invited us to call the owner and come back and visit. The owner, Warren
Johnson, was very gracious, explained about these wonderful horses, and let
us ride, children and all. We had a great time. He gave me brochures from
Arabian Horse Association and told me how to contact other Discovery Farms in
my area. I found Holly Reuter of Holly Arabians who's been a wonderful
mentor. Two years ago, I purchased two of her horses for breeding, showing,
and just plain enjoying. Warren and Holly have both been invaluable to me as

Look up your favorite Sweepstakes Nominated Sires or Nominated Mares to find
out what their offspring are winning. Each report tells you the number of
offspring that have show records on file with AHA and the number of Horse
Achievement Award points that horse has earned. The points are totaled, then
broken down by discipline. To find this report, just login to Members Only,
then select AHA Programs on the left navigation bar.
