Youth Nationals

Initiated in 1993, Youth Nationals has been AHA's premier youth event. Family members accompany the young competitors for a week of competition and fun-filled activities. Competition in English, western, side saddle, native costume, working cow, dressage, and hunter disciplines combined with leadership training, games, contests, parades and dance parties make this junior rider event one of the best in the nation.

Judge Change
Jody Strand has been replaced by Judy Kibler on the western panel for 2005 Youth Nationals.

New Classes/Class Changes for 2005
For 2005 all Walk/Trot Pleasure classes have been split into separate Arabian and Half-Arabian/Anglo Arabian classes. Also, Western Horsemanship has been split into between Arabians and Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabians. Trail Classes will begin on the first Saturday of the show, July 23, and will be split into age divisions, 13 & Under and 14-17. All in-hand and breeding halter classes have been switched to be Junior To Handle (rather than Junior Owner To Handle).
