U.S. Nationals


Arabian Horse Youth Judging Contest

About 165 youth, 4-H and college teams, comprising 37 total teams, gathered in Tulsa for the annual Arabian Horse Youth Judging Contest. Winners will be announced at the Awards Breakfast on Saturday.


Several AHA members and/or exhibitors volunteered their time and horses to be used as part of the judging contest. Pictured, prominent trainer Jeff Schall helps out with an entry in the mares' class.


HA/AA Working Cow Horse Futurity



Eddie Ralston and El Ci Khanada, owned by Larry Clapp, were named champions with a score of 215.




Bob Hart Jr. earned reserve champion on Vallejo Remy Extra, owned by Kathie Hart, with a score of 212.




Owner and rider Doug Stewart rode Annie Get Yur Gun to a Top-10 spot.




Greg Mayfield and Bold Silver Streak, owned by Wendy Lindsay Castle, also finished Top 10.




Eddie Ralston showed Takeachanceonme RL, owned by Martha Wallisch, to a Top-10 finish.





Jeffrey Wilms made Top 10 with Will He Boogy, owned by Robyn Meyer.





The dirt track on grounds offers a nice location to lunge horses.


Arabian Pleasure Driving Championship



Tom Moore drove A Noble Cause to a win in the Arabian Pleasure Driving Championship.


Jim Stachowski showed Afires Vision to a Reserve Champion title.


A beautifully colored sunset adorned the sky as the evening performances began.


HA/AA Country English Pleasure

Americanbeautie, with Gordon Potts riding, earned all judges support for a Champion title in HA/AA Country English Pleasure.

The Arabian Breeders Association gave Dr. and Mrs. Eugene LaCroix and family the Lifetime Breeders Achievement Award in a special presentation Friday night.
