TA Khalil, ridden by Thiago Sobral in class 984, Arabian Reining Horse Futurity Five and Under, moved on to the next second go with the classes highest score.

TR Tequila Sunrise++++//, ridden by Brenda Driediger, moved forward from the first section of Class 734, Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian Hunter Pleasure. Forty-six entries will compete for the championship in this class throughout the week.

The first two sections of Arabian English Pleasure AAOTR 40 & Over proved to very competitive. Above, exhibitor 259, Infinity CSP, ridden by Susan Drescher Mulzet, Air Apollo, ridden by Diana McDonough (blue vest) and Firre Works, ridden by Carol Skeuse-Hart all competed for the chance to move forward to the next round.

The Arabian's versatility is on full display at U.S. Nationals. Bruce Bates rides Zee Princess Lena in some reining warm-up, while Beth Weatherford rides Fire Marshall Bill-both are purebred Arabians.

The first day of the show means washing, cleaning and clipping. Kim Niven and John Boyle bathe Spice and full-sister, Dr Dun and Bradstreet, while Cesar Hernandez clips Troy E.

The first evening of classes is kicked off in the Ford Truck Arena with Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR 36-54. MS Giorgio (chestnut), ridden by Martha Lynn Younger and RB Menesson (grey), ridden by Karen Rae Hamilton-Duell ease around the arena.
