Additional Event Information

SHN Late Entry Fee Waved for Horses Already Entered:

The Sport Horse National Show Commission recently voted to waive the 2009 late entry fee for horses that are currently entered in the show, but would like to enter additional classes. For any questions about how to enter your horse in additional classes, please contact the Show Secretary, Kristen Swiatek at 303-696-4588 or kristen.swiatek@arabianhorses.org.

Attention 2009 Sport Horse National Exhibitors:

It has come to the attention of the Sport Horse National Show Commission and AHA staff that there is an error in the Omnibus that we believe deserves prompt attention. The Entry Fees printed in the Omnibus are incorrect. The Class Entry Fees are $175 and the Two Year Old Jackpot Class Entry Fees are $200; not $200 and $225 as printed in the Omnibus. If you have any questions please contact the AHA National Events Department at 303-696-4500 option 4.

Attention Sport Horse National Competitors:

If you are planning on competing in Sport Horse In-Hand at the 2009 Sport Horse Nationals you may notice some changes. The Sport Horse National Show Commission is committed to making Sport Horse Nationals a success and keeping our exhibitors informed. The Sport Horse National Show Commission has decided that each class of Sport Horse In-Hand will utilize one triangle. This will alleviate the perception of each judge viewing a different presentation of each horse; each two judge panel will judge one triangle simultaneously. One presentation from an exhibitor will receive two scores. Utilizing only one triangle for each class will also alleviate some concerns over space and free up another arena to be used for competition warm up. The Show Commission feels that this is the best option for Sport Horse Nationals and the exhibitors.
Please note that the number of entries listed is current as of 8/25/09 and each number represents the total number of horses that have entered that class to this date. This information does not reflect the following:
  1. non-qualified horses,
  2. entries pending funds,
  3. scratches.
